Workshops

I am now offering a two-day workshop in my studio at the Dry Ice Factory in the River North Art District of Denver.

Each workshop is in two parts: a Friday evening 6:30 to 9:30 pm and a Saturday 1:30 to 4:30 pm. In the workshops, students learn how to create and arrange forms made from mixed media on Dura-Lar, similar to the forms used in my works (see Paroxyc Amoebosis and Blood Nest, below). Students will also work on watercolor paper. There is ample time for practice. Students will complete a small 2D piece in class and will be able to continue working in this media on their own afterward.

Some experience with watermedia (watercolor, thinned acrylic washes, inks) may be helpful but is not necessary. The workshop is $50 per student, which includes some materials. A minimum registration of four students and maximum of eight students  is required - bring your friends!
